  • We also provide free, off-street parking for our guests' enjoyment and stress-free stay.
  • However, if your stay is business-related, we can also accommodate your fax and modem needs.
  • A complete breakfast is served in the formal dining room each morning, and guests are welcome to help themselves to drinks and snacks all day long in our Butler's pantry.

HOLLYWOOD ROOM (The Golden Years)

   You are laying on your luxurious bed on a stage behind the lace curtain gazing at the glamour photos of your old friends Clark Gable, Gary Cooper, Errol Flynn, Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Jimmy Cagney, Audrey and Katherine Hepburn and a plethora of others remembering the great old days!
    While taking a leisurely bath in the whirlpool tub, you view the decoupage of genuine World War I sheet music on the walls along with other memorabilia of those times.
    The Star lights around the dressing table are reminiscent of the era but You are the Star.
   If you're tired of boring and into interesting and dramatic, you've found the right room! A small library of books on Theatre, Hollywood and The Arts fill out your wish list. Enjoy!

Literary Room

LITERARY ROOM

   The turn of the 20th century in America was the Golden Age of Indiana with literary greats including James Whitcomb Riley, Booth Tarkington, Lew Wallace, George Ade, George Meredith and many others. This room is decorated to be reminiscent of that time with several works of these authors available to visitors.
   Also featured is an antique slate fireplace restored by the owner and a large Jacuzzi bathtub for a gilded baron and baroness!

De Wenter Room

DE WENTER ROOM

   Named for Indianapolis industrialist Herman DeWenter who constructed the mansion in 1885 with incomparable woodwork still in its original condition, this room also features a brick wall, reminding visitors that this is the only brick structure in a neighborhood of frame houses. The king-size bed, single Jacuzzi tub and warm fireplace add to the ambiance.
   For our history lovers, 100 year old photographs of the family and house adorn the walls.

LIBRARY/WEDDING SUITE

   This suite of rooms combines the best of the old and new with an elegant Old World ambiance provided by hand-faux-painted walls, genuine antiques, a library of books and a working gas fireplace.
   The separate bedroom houses a very comfortable Queen size bed and the stunning large bathroom boasts two gold sinks, a glass shower and a large double Jacuzzi tub.
   This is the newest and largest guest accommodation in the mansion.
